Choosing

Not sure which standard applies to you?

The right answer usually depends on who is asking you for it. Here is the short version.

  1. A customer asked for it by name. Certify to exactly what they specified, and check whether they require accredited certification and a GFSI-recognised scheme — those details change the answer.
  2. You are bidding for tenders. Read the qualification criteria. Government and PSU tenders in India most often specify ISO 9001, and increasingly ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 together.
  3. You want to start somewhere sensible. ISO 9001. It builds the management system structure that every other standard reuses.
  4. Your sector has a specific standard. Medical devices need ISO 13485, automotive needs IATF 16949, food needs ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000, and IT services almost always start with ISO 27001.

We will tell you if you do not need it

We are a certification body, so there is an obvious commercial incentive to recommend more certification. We would rather scope you correctly once than sell you a certificate your customer will not accept.

If the honest answer is that you need a different standard, a different scheme, or a different certification body for accreditation-scope reasons, we will say so.

How certification works

From application to certificate

  1. 01

    Application & Review

    Week 1

Scope defined, audit days calculated to accreditation rules, fixed quotation issued.

  2. 02

    Stage 1 & Stage 2 Audit

    Weeks 2–6

Readiness review followed by the full on-site certification audit of your system in operation.

  3. 03

    Certification Decision

    Weeks 7–10

Findings closed out, file reviewed independently of the audit team, certificate issued.

  4. 04

    Surveillance & Recertification

    Year 1–3

Annual surveillance keeps the certificate valid; recertification renews the three-year cycle.
